Basque dancers more than just entertainment
The Basque festival of Jaialdi is three months away. This will be the 8th Jaialdi since it's inception in 1987, and every year the event has featured a dance group that has made the trip from the Basque Country.
That inclusion of homeland dancers has done a lot more than just entertain the growing crowds.
The current compilation of Oinkari dancers have yet to make plans to venture to the Basque Country but after this year's Jaialdi they may yet get an invitation.
Jaialdi kicks off July 28.
